App è l'abbreviazione di applicazione. Un'app mobile è un programma generato dal computer progettato e sviluppato per funzionare su iPhone, smartphone, tablet e molti altri dispositivi mobili.
La ricerca mobile risale agli anni '50. Nel 1973, Martin Cooper di Motorola ha avuto una svolta. All'inizio degli anni '90, i PDA (computer palmari) avevano quelle che sarebbero state considerate app come un elaboratore di testi, un foglio di calcolo e un database. Il touchscreen Palm Pilot è arrivato poco dopo. Per quanto riguarda i dispositivi mobili, le prime app sono state calcolatrice, calendario mensile, orologio mondiale, giochi Java e rubrica. Poi, nel 2002, lo smartphone BlackBerry ha rilasciato e integrato l'e-mail wireless. 2009-2013 Miss Trivia
My Miss Trivia was part of the first generation of iPhone drinking/trivia apps. It eventually grew to 5,000 questions, with five categories and three levels of difficulty. You could play alone or pass the phone around among friends at a bar or party.
About the Look
When we were designing Miss Trivia, I told the developers I wanted the opening to have the fun, animated feel of the 1960s TV show Bewitched. Looking at these screenshots all these years later, they definitely understood the assignment—cartoon me, martini tray, stars, moon, city skyline and all.
Players moved through different illustrated bars while answering questions in five categories: History; Beer & Wine; Celebrity Cocktails; Tools, Terms & Tips; and Spirits & Recipes. Even your score was shown as a running bar tab.
At the time, I thought it looked fabulous.
Today, it looks like Samantha Stephens
opened a cocktail bar and
somehow got an iPhone developer.
