In 1995, while living in an RV, I began researching how to get a book published. The Internet was a few years away, so I spent my time at the library, picking the brains of authors at book signings, and asking all my bar patrons if they knew the secret of how to get a book published.
FYI The 1st book below, Miss Charming's Book of Bar Amusements, took three years and 350 rejection letters until Random House took an interest.
You can purchase many of these as ebooks. For iTunes simply click the iTunes icon
Amazon will offer also offer all available kindle versions.

Miss
Charming's Book of Bar Amusements
My 1st book, Miss
Charming's Book of Bar Amusements, published by Random
House, was released in 2000. It went out of print in 2008, but
you can still find copies at ebay.com and amazon.com through
their used book vendors. It's
also at many libraries. Simply check here
to see if it's at your local library.
It contains 80 different tricks using matches, toothpicks, coins,
bottles, napkins, and other items readily available at any party,
pub, club, or bar as well as some other stuff. Everyone should
have a coupla tricks up their sleeve!
*I had a collection of 1000 bar tricks jotted down on cocktail napkins from my years of tending bar, but the publisher only wanted to have 80 tricks balanced with difiiculity levels and types. |
Miss
Charming's Book of Crazy Cocktails; Over 200 Outrageous Drink
Recipes to Turn Any Night into a Party
My 2nd book, Miss
Charming's Book of Crazy Cocktails, published by
Random House, is a silly and funny collection of outrageous
theme drinks for any occasion--especially the wild ones.
A
hoot just to look through, and a hoot and a half to use.
This book
went out of print in 2007, but you can still find copies at
ebay.com and amazon.com through their used book vendors.Or
look for it at these libraries.
*I didn't want to do this book, but the publisher offered and I didn't want to turn down a chance to say I had "two" published books. |

Be a Star
Magician
My 3rd book,
Be a Star Magician, published by Silver Dolphin Press,
will amaze family and friends as kids design their own magic
show. This book includes a CD with magical music and applause
for four different magic shows, a 32-page book with over 16
amazing tricks, magic wand, props, a full-size poster, tickets
and programs to personalize.
This book is out of print, but you can still order through Amazon.
*This book so far was the hardest to write. I had no idea that writing for an audience for 8-12 year olds would be so challenging. The publisher actually had a program they would enter my text and it would tell you its reading level The trick? Lots of pronouns and no 3+ syllable words. |

Your Ultimate
One-Stop Bar and Cocktail Resource
My 5th book, Miss Charming's Guide for Hip Bartenders and Wayout Wannabes, published by Sourcebooks, Inc was a book that I started as an ebook. My agent saw a few pages of it online then showed it to a publisher.
This book has "real world" bartender

something of value from its wealth of information.

The Everything
Family Guide To the Walt Disney World Resort, Universal Studios
And Greater Orlando: A
Complete Guide To The Best Hotels, Restaurants, Parks, and
Attractions.
My 6th book, The Everything Family Guide to the Walt Disney World Resort, published by Adam's Media features a system that rates
all the rides, shows, and attractions for each member of your
family.
*I recommend NOT buying this book. Disney and Orlando changes so much everyday. By the time this book was released probably half the books info was dated.

The Everything Bartender's Book is
my 7th book. It's a pretty decent book, but I would purchase the 3rd edition below.
You
can find online reviews of this book here
and here.
*So far I'm only responsible for the 2nd and 3rd editions.
